Located south of Detroit, Windsor is the most southern city in all of Canada, and it features many beautiful gardens and interesting historic sites. You can rent an apartment in “the Rose City” and then spend time exploring the area’s 180 parks, including several large gardens and parks located on the city’s waterfront. The parks are spread out over 3,000 acres and maintained by Windsor’s Department of Parks and Recreation. They include 35 sculptures at the Odette Sculpture Park, playing fields, picnic areas, fountains and spectacular gardens. Residents of apartments for rent in Windsor can also enjoy the 350-hectare complex of nature reserves and parks called the Ojibway Prairie Complex. They can also walk or cycle the Windsor Trail network – a series of beautiful walking trails along the Detroit River that link many neighbourhoods. Windsor is also referred to as the Automotive Capital of Canada because it contains some of the main automobile manufacturing centres in the country and is home to Chrysler Canada’s headquarters.
